Terms & Conditions for Appointments and Fittings
All fittings secured by an online appointment and upon full payment of the fitting fee only. Walk in fittings on the expo day will be subject to Big Bridal Popup terms and conditions.
Should you not attend the fitting or arrive on time – you will forfeit your fitting fee as well as your fitting time slot.
Rebooking at an additional fee will be allowed, subject to availability. A fitting is not a prerequisite for the purchase of a dress at the event.
No reservations of dresses can be allowed.
No dresses may be removed from the premises of the event without full payment.
Payment of the full amount can be made in cash or by credit card. No EFT’s or layby options will be offered/accepted.
All dresses sold at any Big Bridal Popup sale are sold “voetstoots” and no guarantees are made with regards to quality except for what is seen and accepted by the buyer during the dress fitting.
No refunds or exchanges will be considered.
Accepting the terms and conditions on our website is a legal practice and will be enforced.
The Big Bridal Popup suppliers will not be disclosed to brides in order to attempt returns and exchanges post the sale. This is a strictly voetstoots sale.

Listing Terms & Conditions
By submitting a wedding dress on this website, the advertiser acknowledges legal ownership of the dress and the legal right to sell the dress. Should any dress be sold illegally in using this website or a Big Bridal Popup sale, Big Bridal Popup cannot be held responsible for any illegal actions taken by its advertisers or prospective buyers.
A listing with inclusion at an event does not guarantee the sale of a dress. If not sold, the dress will be returned to the client via courier.
All sizes indicated on the website are to be based on South African sizes. Big Bridal Popup does not take any liability for the accuracy of the size quoted by an advertiser.
Big Bridal Popup is not responsible for any outcomes or agreements for dresses bought directly from advertisers or decisions made by and agreements between buyers and advertisers.
Terms & Conditions for Big Bridal Popup Events
As advertiser, by agreeing to have your dress listed on this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of use, all applicable laws and regulations and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws.
The advertiser has the right to select the expected selling price, which will be subject to validation by Big Bridal Popup for any event. The advertiser needs to indicate the original purchase price excluding alterations when submitting a dress.
A submission fee will be due when listing a dress for inclusion at any popup The advertiser will receive an e-mail including the relevant courier details and a reminder to send the dress for inclusion at the event. The collection and delivery (should the dress not sell) address for all submitted dresses must be a business/daytime address allowing for availability between 09h00 and 17h00 on weekdays. Should the dress not be available for collection/delivery at the agreed time, the submission will be forfeited and the advertiser will need to submit the dress again.
Before any dress is placed on sale at the event, it will be screened, valued and approved by a representative of Big Bridal Popup. Big Bridal Popup reserves the right to reject any dress submitted for event listing after physical evaluation. Should a dress be rejected for event listing, the submission fee will not be refunded, but the advertiser shall have the option to send a replacement.
The final valuation decision will rest with Big Bridal Popup and will be agreed with the advertiser of the dress before advertisement proceeds. As part of this agreement, a floor (or minimum) selling price will be agreed to allow Big Bridal Popup the opportunity to allocate a discount to the dress at the event, should this be required to motivate the sale of the dress.
When submitting dresses to the sale you pledge to be honest about the dress condition. The following terms as listed by the advertiser should be adhered to. A “new dress” implies that the dress has never been worn to any wedding event before or extensively fitted by any previous customers. A “sample dress” refer to a dress that has never been worn to any wedding event but has been fitted and tried on by customers. A “second hand” or “preloved dress” refers to a dress that may have been worn to an event before, or has been bought over form a customer not knowing the history of the dress.
Notwithstanding the above, Big Bridal Popup reserves the right to further reduce the selling price of the dress by up to 50% during the event, without influencing the minimum portion payable to the advertiser. The dress will be valued based on quality, fabrics manufactured from, general tidiness and presentation of dress, pattern of the dress, design acumen on the dress and possibility to resell based on current wedding dress trends, damage on dress, previous alterations, brand name of dress, initial buying price excluding alteration cost as well as the size of the dress.
Should the advertiser and Big Bridal Popup not agree on the selling price of the dress, the advertiser will have the right to withdraw the dress before the event.
Big Bridal Popup reserves the right to return any dirty dresses and dresses not meeting the basic quality standards. Submission fees will remain due in this instance.
The advertiser agrees that 40% of the selling price settled on the day of the event will be due to Big Bridal Popup for the marketing and facilitation of the sale of the dress and to cover opportunity costs of the event. Should marketing of the dress at an event lead to the sale of the dress at the event, this fee will be subtracted before the balance is paid to the advertiser.
The advertiser needs to supply banking details for payment in the event of a successful sale. Payment will be done within 10 working days following the completion of the event.
All dresses sold on any Big Bridal Popup sale are sold “voetstoots” and no guarantees are made with regards to quality except for what is seen and accepted by the buyer during the dress fitting.
Dresses will be stored at the event venue, locked up and under 24-hour security control, but Big Bridal Popup takes no responsibility for any loss or damage to a submitted dress and dresses will not be insured against any damages during the event and will be submitted entirely at the advertiser’s own risk. Dresses in transit to Big Bridal Popup will be insured according to the insurance policy of the courier company used.
Stains/Tears/Makeup – The advertiser acknowledges that dresses may stain or attract dust while on exhibition at the event and Big Bridal Popup will not accept any liability for damages during the event or in the regular course of prospective buyer fitting the garment. All care will be taken to avoid damages and no food or drinks will be allowed near any garments.
Force majeure: Big Bridal Popup shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations or delay in performance of the same under this Agreement where such failure or delay is due to Acts of God, war, invasion, or military action, acts, orders, civil disturbance, strikes, lock outs, trade disputes causing cessation or slow-down of work, or inability to procure services or material after due and timely diligence, late deliveries or late performances of services from sub-contractors or suppliers, breakdown of machinery, fire, flood or accident or any cause beyond the reasonable control of Big Bridal Popup whether or not similar to the causes specifically mentioned herein.
